Nelson’s acute secondary care hospital is looking for a Senior Medical Officer/Internal Medicine Consultant with extensive experience in general medicine to become part of an established team. Anyone with subspecialty interest in Respiratory, Rheumatology and or Stroke Medicine would be ideal, but all areas will be considered. Do you have experience of working in a rural setting or Internal Medicine experience you feel is transferable into this environment and want to benefit from working and living in the stunning Marlborough region of the South Island, then this is for you.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in Internal Medicine
Subspecialty interests will be considered; preferred; Respiratory or Rheumatology or Stroke Medicine.
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Internal Medicine
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Health New Zealand has a Collective Employment Agreement in place across all their Districts offering:
Annual leave: 6 weeks
CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks
$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
