Ophthalmologist Consultant
Whangarei is surrounded by stunning landscapes, including mountains, beaches and forests. It has a perfect sub-tropical climate giving warm summers and mild winters, know as the ‘winterless north’.
Are you an Ophthalmologist with a sub speciality interest? And has extensive experience of Cataract surgery? This is a necessity as it forms a core part of the department’s services. If you are, then this role based in the top of the North Island is for you.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in Ophthalmology
Subspecialty interests will be considered
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Ophthalmology
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Ophthalmology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Annual leave: 6 weeks
CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks
$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
